A New Year Wishlist.

As the year comes to a close and we enter into a NEW YEAR and a NEW DECADE I wish to extend to all my friends who visit this Blog and to Blogger.com who have provided this facility:

A VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY & PEACEFUL 'NEW YEAR'.

On this occasion I wish to share with all of you some of my thoughts on how we can make the coming year a little better for all. Here they are:

All of us like to see a Happy, Smiling face. Let's try and do something to bring a smile on at least one face every day. A Word of Thanks, an acknowledgement of a favour done, a Kind Word to one who's sad and depressed, a Small gift to poor child, a helping hand to the needy ... it doesn't actually cost us much. Does it?

None of us like to see a sad or unhappy face. Let's try and avoid all such actions that might hurt another, physically or mentally, and thus cause them to be sad or unhappy. Yes, it's not so easy and calls for some conscious effort. Shall we at least make an attempt?

All of us like to see the varieties of trees, plants, flowers, birds and animals and walk along the winding pathways, with the majestic trees providing a canopy, in a hill station or even a small village. Let's do our best to preserve all of them for the posterity so that they too may be able to enjoy them. Easier said than done!?

All of human beings share more or less the same emotions and feelings irrespective of whether our skin is white, black or brown, irrespective of our religious or political beliefs and irrespective of the language we speak or the region we come from. Let's try and learn to respect and help one another instead of hating.

I am sure if all of us can do this the world will become a better place to live in.
